ACVS is looking for a diverse pool of candidates for the 2019 President-Elect and Regents election who you think would serve our College well, especially those in private practice, the fastest growing segment of our membership.
The Committee is seeking nominations for:
- President-Elect - small animal for 2020 (must have been a Diplomate for a minimum of 13 years, and a prior Regent or Treasurer)
- Regent for a 3-year term - large animal (must have been a Diplomate for a minimum of 10 years)
- Regent for a 3-year term - small animal (must have been a Diplomate for a minimum of 10 years)
The Board of Regents is responsible for management and control of the business and professional affairs of our College. The Board consists of four officers (i.e., the Chair of the Board of Regents, the President, the President-Elect, and the Treasurer) and six Regents (with an equal distribution of large and small animal members). The Board meets three times during the year (February, in the summer, and in conjunction with the Surgery Summit), and attendance is required at these meetings. It is essential that the nominees understand that their time commitment, although not exorbitant, is important, as significant decisions and work regarding the future of the College occur at these meetings. The Protocol for the Board of Regents is available from the ACVS office (firstname.lastname@example.org).
To nominate yourself or someone else, please complete the form below. Nominations should be submitted no later than 5:00pm EDT, Monday, April 1, 2019.
For questions about the nomination process, you can reach me at email@example.com. Thank you for your continued support of the College.
