Dr. Richardson was a true inspiration in my professional career. He has the attributes one would expect of an outstanding mentor, including his talent as a surgeon, his creativity, his ability to innovate and his focus on educating residents. All are terrific attributes. For me, it was his passion for always doing his best in the surgical theater, research laboratory, or in the classroom.

I’m incredibly honored but initially believed there was a misspelling. I assumed the ACVS had a tormentor award….
