The single greatest pleasure of building an academic program is following the success of my mentees. I believed in all of them, but even so, they have exceeded my expectations in terms of how well they are doing in academia, how their training can be used for different career pathways, and where they end up living (from the US to Australia, and a few places in-between). I can't thank my mentees enough for allowing me to be a part of their journey.
