My mentors were an inspiration to me. Their passion for what they did, their willingness to share knowledge and teach others was infectious and shaped me to be the surgeon and teacher I am today. I am so very grateful for all that they did for me. Being a mentor for others now is such a joy and privilege. Being able to share my experiences and teach students, interns, residents and colleagues as they navigate through their learning processes is now the best part of my job.
