Honored Mentor
R. Bruce Hohn (Deceased)
DVM, MS
Bruce took me on as a resident in January 1975. How lucky I was to be under Bruce’s guidance as a resident. Bruce was one of the primary sources in bringing formal residency training to veterinary medicine, additionally, with his strong ties to Synthes/ASIF he introduced bone plating to the companion animal and equine surgery. He was a great teacher and friend. I miss him greatly.

The late Dr. Hohn was a veterinary orthopedist par excellence. He was instrumental in starting the clinical residency programs in the US, as well as introducing the AO system of internal fixation.
