Andrew J. Frey

Andy is easily one of the good guys of veterinary surgery! Andy’s commitment to his practice is impeccable, but it is easily his deep personal desire to serve the pet owner, connect with them, and find a plan that works for them to be the most enviable and humble trait about him that I admire. Andy is always friendly, curious, and wanting to share ideas and experiences. I remember one time, early in my career, I had a surgical complication I was preparing to revise, and Andy knew that I was a bit intimidated by the prospects of this surgery. Andy says one day ‘hey John, I’ve got a quiet day, why don’t I come over and help scrub with you on that revision’. To be clear, this was a 1½ hour drive one-way for him to do this! Andy is just a reassuring, helpful person wanting to be on the good-side of the line! I’m honored to call him both a mentor and a friend!
