It has been said our lives turn on small hinges. Every now and then there is a mentor that redirects a career path entirely, and Dr. Keats was that for me. Beginning as a vet student extern and later a rotating intern, Dr. Keats inspired me with his skill, his genuine care for patients, and his non-stop encouragement pursuing surgical training through the years, for which I will be ever grateful.
